There are still many confusion about what VerifyHim.com actually does, and we have been received many emails about that. So I decide to print a letter from our support staff answering a user who has given us many thoughtful questions.

"I have forwared some of your comments to our staff and developers for
reflections. We really appriciate your candid comments. Unlike other critics
about us out there (We are called identity thieves/scammers/LEs by people
who are not even try to register - you can google about them or search about
us on NationalBlacklist or ProviderBuzz), you are actually registered and
try VerifyHim.com out.

Before laying out my thoughts, I would like to make sure that you not
feeling like I try to dispute your point of views. A good discussion can go
a long way.

* About our blacklist: Our blacklist database are submitted by our users and
from other sources. We definately have overlapping records with other
databases out there like NBL and Providerbuzz. Many of our members are also
members on mulitple sites and tend to submit the same records. Most
experienced escorts also have their own blacklist and whitelist.
VerifyHim.com doesn't expect to be the one-stop for blacklist; that's why we
actually allow users to search it for free without registering. I also agree
with you that a few escorts will submit good clients to blacklist database.
But it is the same problem for all blacklist databases not just
Verifyhim.com's database.

* Most of our members have sites and are on eros, escorts.com and
date-check/P411. You can't find any of them because we don't display that
part of the profile for other members. Just like other members can't see the
website and date-check handle on your VerifyHim's profile. While VerifyHim
is built on top of a social networking, by default that type of information
won't be shared unless the users manually share their profile. We do have
backpage girls too. It's fair to say that Providerbuzz and other sites also
have backpage girls as well.

* Escort client screening is an interesting and complicated thing. We try to
provide our members as much information as we can about a client from
whatever piece of personal information they can get from their clients. If
the client has references, it is still the job of the members to call and
verify. So what do we do? First, we will check the client record against our
blacklist (you will see it in the search result). Now if our members provide
the client's email, we will run that against several escort review sites
(You will see it in the search results if there are any matches), social
networking sites (sometimes we will try to pull the profile photo as well),
and other escorts boards like escorts.com, date-check,... (we try to use
email exclusively for these tasks without using the handle) and also check
the email through several email profile viewers. If a client phone number is
provided, we try to obtain the reverse information based on phone numbers in
2 different databases (YellowPage/WhitePages are covered as well) and give
the results if there are any matches. If the last name and the phone are
both provided, we can lookup state criminal records and federal sex offender
list to report any matches. If the first name is also provided, then we run
a full extensive search on other public databases and display the results
(that may include the phone/birth year/address/...).

Our search engine works as a data aggregation tool and automate the tasks of
going to different sites to check the client information. We don't make
magic like knowing the TER handle of a user while only a phone number is
provided. However, what we do is, instead of the escorts going to over 20+
sites (and extending) to check the information and connect the dots, we do
it for our members in 30 seconds. That's what data aggregation is all about
and that's what we do for our members.

power is the more modules (or sites VerifyHim can crawl) are built into the
system, the higher the change that it can find something useful. We take the
boring steps (of going over to a lot of sites to check and connect the dots)
out of the screening process.

VerifyHim doesn't make the decision for our members, we only provide the
data we found and they make their own decision. We will add the whitelisting
feature as your suggestion in a short future. There are a lot of confusions
about what we do, but the members who get used to our search engine tend to
to use it more effectively. For now, we probably can't replace the process
of calling the client's business to confirm his employment or checking his
ID before a session. Consider VerifyHim.com as another toolbox in your
arsenal.

Over the weekend, VerifyHim.com has added the Email Profile Viewer into our search engine. Right now, we only support Yahoo mail. If you enter the client's yahoo email address, you will see his profile picture and something similar to this in his search result:

The Email Profile Viewer can help digging out some useful information. You can confirm if the email was just created recently or if his name and location is different from what he claimed. When it comes to client screening, the more information we get the better informed we are.

     For the last couple months of VerifyHim.com’s debut, we have gained quite a number of users who are relying on us for screening their clients. However, due to our aggressive marketing campaign, we do have a few negative reactions (we don’t know who they are and don’t really care). The negative reactions are all about accusing us as scammers and even working for LE. I do really appreciate our users who are pushing back and speaking positively of us in many boards and forums.

     I have to admit that we are quite a relatively new company in this industry. And our location as a Singapore-based company would understandably cast some doubts with a few people. However, Singapore has the most advanced networking infrastructure and very business friendly. We are proud to have our business here catering to the US/North America market (and soon many other markets). In fact, a lot of adult/escorts sites are not based in the US because of the increasing privacy violation of Big Brother.

     VerifyHim.com is based on deep data aggregating. We don’t rely much on databases. We want to connect the dots and provide our members as much information as possible about their clients. Deep data aggregation is a new technology and can confuse people. For example, a client has a handle on an escort board; he may also have a FaceBook account with similar name. VerifyHim.com would connect the relation and give a report. An escort can do the same thing without using VerifyHim.com but it can take hours or even days. Our goal is to help escorts making an informed decision before meeting a client. We are here to help.

     We have been working hard to gain the trust of our members and the escort community. Trust needs to be earned and we understand it more than anything. Many times, we would want to be able to check the profiles of a user based on his email. We can detect some red flags by looking at the profile general information (ie, the email is just created recently). Here are some tips on doing so if the users are using a popular email service.

+ Yahoo: http://pulse.yahoo.com/UserYahooID . For example:
profiles.yahoo.com/verifyhim is to check the email of verifyhim@yahoo.com. Yahoo is changing is profile site, but this trick still work for now.

+ Hotmail/Msn/Live: This doesn't always work. However, if a user enable his profile feature, you can view it by going to: http://members.msn.com/useremail@hotmail.com

+ Google: Most Gmail account doesn't have profiles by default. However, if they enable their profile, you can go to: http://www.google.com/profiles?q= and search his profiles there.

We are working to have several email profile crawlers included into VerifyHim.com's search engine. Keep coming back and you will be surprised.

In the searching form, if you enter a client phone number, VerifyHim.com will automatically get the state/province from that phone number (based on area code). That information will be used to search for state public databases. You may see more information about your client now if you have never specified the state/province of your client while searching before.

VerifyHim.com generally crawling different databases to gather information about your client. However, a few providers doesn't specify the state/province while searching. This can limit our search engine to crawl some public databases. Some federal databases require the specific state to search. Even a guess is still better than nothing (the state/province that you gonna meet him or basing on the first 3 digits of his phone number)

We are obtaining and testing our new merchant account. Hopefully VerifyHim.com will be able to accept credit card payments directly from our subscribed members in the next couple weeks.
